Originally, this was a richly textured, ambient track offered up by Mike for what would become "the Boiler Project" with Cyfer of Agrym. It started as "Lo-Fi Sound Blanket" & had segments of melodic phrases & percussive elements that provided some interesting looping opportunities. These looped sections served as the foundation for what became a suite of sorts, with five mini-songs, all concluding with a bit of a coda that doesn't feature any looping. Just a humble arrangement for Mike's engaging soundscape.
This collection of half a dozen sections held together by a common thread inspired the name change from "Lo-Fi Sound Blanket" to "Lo-Fi Sound Quilt" & seemed to be its own thing, apart from the Boiler Project. Also felt more at home as a COMPANDER album, to my ears. Regardless of it's credits & home though, I hope you enjoy the Quilt we made!
An older EP from Void Ant, but with a deluxe treatment. Spacious, luxurious & rich sounds simultaneously relax & engage. It's a spa day for drone lovers. COMPANDER
